TASAlympics – 7th July 2023

Today, we took two teams to the TASAlympics event at Edge Hill.

One team from Year 3 & 4 the other from 5 & 6. The children took part in a 50m sprint, 400m run, vortex throw long and 6 x 50m relays. They all did amazingly well, and were polite, kind and respectful throughout the whole day. We are very proud to say that both teams won the event, taking home GOLD! Our good news doesn’t stop there, we also won 3 medals in the relays. Gold medals for our Year 3 & 4 girls team, Year 3 & 4 boys team and Year 5 & 6 boys’ team. Following that, we also had some winners in the individual medals. This is where they compare scores of all the athletes competing on the day. For girls’ year 3 & 4, we had: Molly H Bronze, Amelia H silver and Connie O took gold! Jack L took gold in the Year 3 & 4 boys and Lucy M took Silver in the Year 5 & 6 girls.

As you can see, the children did amazingly, and we are so proud of every single one of them. I’d like to say a huge thank you to the parents who helped with transport and cheered them on in the sunshine; it was a lovely day all round. Finally, a big thank you to Mrs Dixon and Mrs Greaves for their help during the day – greatly appreciated. Well done THT!
